DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, has approved Dh3.6 billion for housing projects.
Sheikh Mohammed led a meeting at the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE), reported the state news agency, Wam.
He said that the country’s strategies make citizens’ welfare a top priority.
Sheikh Mohammed said he follows customer satisfaction surveys on Government services and has directed that international best practices be followed. During the meeting, he was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Khalifa Saeed Suleiman, director general of the Dubai Protocol Department.
Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the projects built with construction loans worth Dh2.9bn between 2007 and 2014. Maintenance and other loans reached Dh46.5m.
MRHE officials described research for projects carried out from 2010 until last year. During this period, 16 studies were carried out to establish eco-friendly housing designs.
