Sheikh Suhail bin Mubarak Al Ketbi, the uncle of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, was laid to rest in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces attended the funeral prayers and burial along with UAE rulers and scores of officials.
The funeral prayers were held at Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed the First Mosque before Sheikh Suhail was buried in Al Bateen Cemetery.
Sheikh Mohamed then received condolences at Al Mushrif Palace.
Sheikh Suhail, who was the brother of Sheikha Fatima, the Mother of the Nation, died in London on Sunday after a long illness. He was 73.
