Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed discussed plans to strengthen ties between the UAE and the US during talks with a senior American military leader.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces hosted lieutenant general Raymond Anthony Thomas, commander of the United States Special Operations Command, at Qasr Al Bahr in the capital.
The pair outlined efforts to bolster the friendship between the two nations and increase co-operation on a range of matters.
The latest regional and international developments of common interest to both the UAE and the US were on top of the agenda.
The high-level meeting was also attended by lieutenant general Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, along with the accompanying delegation to the American guest.
