Long-serving members of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council were thanked for their public service as they stepped down after a reshuffle.
The President, Sheikh Khalifa, approved the reorganisation on Monday, state news agency Wam reported.
Maj Gen Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, and Dr Ali Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Education and Knowledge were among those to step down.
Among the other departing members was Riyad Abdulrahman Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi's Department of Finance.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, was pictured thanking the three men.
Among the new members of the council is Sara Awad Issa Musallam, Chairwoman of the Department of Education and Knowledge, and Maj Gen Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, the new Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police.
The council – which is chaired by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed – assists the President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa, and sets the capital's general policy, its development plans and supervises their execution. The council also authorises projects, laws and decrees before submitting them to Sheikh Khalifa.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also set up a body affiliated with the council, the Abu Dhabi Strategic Affairs Committee, chaired by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and restructured the Executive Committee.

How to avoid crypto fraud
- Use unique usernames and passwords while enabling multi-factor authentication.
- Use an offline private key, a physical device that requires manual activation, whenever you access your wallet.
- Avoid suspicious social media ads promoting fraudulent schemes.
- Only invest in crypto projects that you fully understand.
- Critically assess whether a project’s promises or returns seem too good to be true.
- Only use reputable platforms that have a track record of strong regulatory compliance.
- Store funds in hardware wallets as opposed to online exchanges.

- Cecelia Crocker was on board Northwest Airlines Flight 255 in 1987 when it crashed in Detroit, killing 154 people, including her parents and brother. The plane had hit a light pole on take off

Classification of skills
A worker is categorised as skilled by the MOHRE based on nine levels given in the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO) issued by the International Labour Organisation.
A skilled worker would be someone at a professional level (levels 1 – 5) which includes managers, professionals, technicians and associate professionals, clerical support workers, and service and sales workers.
The worker must also have an attested educational certificate higher than secondary or an equivalent certification, and earn a monthly salary of at least Dh4,000.

Labour dispute
