Sheikh Abdullah meets Vietnamese prime minister

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met the Vietnamese prime minister in Hanoi on Thursday.

Sheikh Abdullah and Nguyen Xuan Phuc discussed the need to promote private investment in energy and economic relations, as well as other topics, reported Wam, the state news agency. Sheikh Abdullah said he hoped his visit to Vietnam would consolidate the countries’ relations, and expressed admiration for Vietnam’s significant strides and achievements towards the development process and pursuit of prosperity for its people.

The Vietnamese prime minister hailed the UAE’s cultural and urban development.

The meeting was attended by other foreign affairs officials, including the UAE ambassador to Vietnam. Sheikh Abdullah also met Vietnam’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister.
