Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Canadian Minister for Foreign Affairs discuss bilateral relations

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, and Canadian Minister for Foreign Affairs Marc Garneau have discussed bilateral relations that serve the best interests of both countries.

During a video conference on Thursday, the ministers reviewed the situation in the Middle East and talked about the importance of boosting security and stability, plus regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Abdullah and Mr Garneau discussed Covid-19 and the importance of fair and equitable access to vaccines around the world.

They also discussed Canada's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasised the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Canada, including the desire to develop them further.

Fahad Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, the UAE’s ambassador to Canada, and Marcy Grossman, ambassador of Canada to the UAE, also attended the meeting.
