The latest batch of newlyweds to benefit from the Government’s Marriage Fund have been approved.
So far this year, 240 couples have received about Dh8 million in total towards the expense of getting married, meaning each couple were gifted an average of Dh33,333.
Recipients were notified via SMS that the money had been transferred to their bank accounts, following approval by Dr Maytha Al Shamsi, Minister of State and Chairwoman of the Marriage Fund.
