ABU DHABI // The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation launched a campaign on Monday to distribute food parcels to underprivileged Gazans.

The move was in response to directives issued by the President, Sheikh Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, with the follow-up of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa Foundation.

The campaign was launched in Khan Yunis and will cover all other governorates in the Gaza Strip. About 15,000 families in Gaza are expected to benefit, according to Wam, the state news agency.

The parcels were distributed in cooperation with the Palestinian Centre for Human Perseverance.
