Federal National Council members have been on a four-day visit to meet parliametarians in Spain in a bid to strengthen ties.
Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, speaker of the Federal National Council, said the delegation was in Madrid to strengthen parliamentary relations through meeting with the president of the senate and speaker of the Spanish parliament. He added that the group will attend parliamentary sessions and sign an agreement of cooperation.
The recent move to allow visa-free travel to Schengen countries was also discussed as it could lead to increased economic activities, tourism and cooperation between the countries.
