The UAE serves as a model for governments globally and is a leader in efficient government services, says Ibrahim Mahlab, Egypt’s prime minister.

“The UAE, under its wise leadership, occupies a prominent international position when it comes to the delivery of government services, and holds a leading ranking as credited by international indices issued by international organisations,” Wam quoted Mr Mahlab as saying on Sunday.

The Egyptian prime minister is leading a delegation at the third edition of The Government Summit from today until Wednesday in Dubai.

“Shaping future governments” is the theme of this year’s conference.

Mr Mahlab thanked President Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, for inviting him to deliver a keynote speech on Egypt’s future.

“Our participation in The Government Summit will further strengthen the friendship and close cooperation between the UAE and Egypt,” he said.

“It is a unique model for governments of other countries, who can leverage the UAE’s experience across various fields.

“This is the ultimate goal of The Government Summit – to exchange experiences and knowledge.”
