DUBAI // Dubai Municipality has received more than 750 complaints about single men in residential areas since the start of the year.

Ibrahim Al Dashti, head of the Municipality call centre, said it lodged 769 calls regarding “bachelors” – men who have no families or whose families are in their home country.

It also received 162 complaints about animals being kept in homes and 20 about damage caused by damas trees being planted near homes.

Manal Yaarouf, head of the customer care section, stressed the importance of maintaining friendly relationship between neighbours and the need to make sure that other people’s well-being was taken into account.
