DUBAI // The Dar Al Ber Society is continuing efforts to help Syrian refugees in the Levant affected by recent snowstorms.
The aid group said it had provided relief worth more than Dh15 million to 38,000 refugees – mostly women and children – since 2012, including a Dh1m contribution to the Emirates Red Crescent and Dh1.6m via the Ishraq Al Noor Charity Society in Lebanon for medical goods, blankets, fuel, winter clothing, food and cash for those whose tents were destroyed by the storms.
Dar Al Ber executive director Abdullah Ali bin Zayed said his organisation’s efforts continue those initiated by the President, Sheikh Khalifa, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, in coordination with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai. Donations can be made at the society’s headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road and locations across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
