The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation has finalised the design of seven distribution centres that will be used to provide Emiratis with subsidised food.
Mohammed Khoory, general manager of the Foundation, said construction will begin as soon as land is allocated in each emirate.
He explained “the new centres are designed for the convenience of Emiratis who will benefit from subsidised food provided by the foundation throughout the UAE”.
He added that 7,132 families will benefit from the subsidised food programme provided by the Foundation in Fujairah.
Mr Khoory said the centres will also provide home delivery services for the elderly, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.

How to apply for a drone permit
