UAE leaders are continuing their visits to the families of servicemen killed in the line of duty in Yemen.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the family of Ali Khamis Al Ketbi in Al Ain on Friday.
Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, paid their respects to the families of Khamis Rashid Al Abdouly and Yousef Salem Ali Al Kaabi, both from Fujairah.
Al Abdouly succumbed on Sunday in Germany from injuries suffered in a September 4 rebel attack on a base in Aden that killed 52 Emiratis.
Al Kaabi died in the same attack that killed Ahmed Khamis Al Hammadi, from the Western Region, Mohammed Khalfan Al Seyabi, from Abu Dhabi, and Al Ketbi on Tuesday.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, offered his condolences to the family of Al Hammadi, as did Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Ruler’s Representive in the Western Region. They extended their deepest sympathies to Al Hammadi’s family on Thursday during a mourning gathering in Al Mirfaa, Western Region.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed was accompanied to Al Ain by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and other dignitaries.
Ambassadors were also keen to offer their condolences. Mohamed bin Hamad Saqr Al Moawda, Bahrain’s ambassador to the UAE, and Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Ali Al Qatabi, Oman’s ambassador in the UAE, both visited the family of Al Ketbi in Al Ain.
During their visit, both ambassadors expressed their sympathies to mourners.
In Abu Dhabi, Issam Massalha, the Palestinian ambassador to the UAE, offered his condolences to the family of Al Seyabi.
Mr Massalha offered his heartfelt sympathy to the serviceman’s family.
