ABU DHABI // Six Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs employees took part in a training programme launched by Abu Dhabi Municipality.

The initiative aims to integrate people with special needs into the working environment, and offer them an opportunity to become productive members of the community, the municipality said.

They received hands-on training on practical tasks such as photocopying, typing and photography at the municipality’s health and customer service departments in Mussaffah.

The municipality has so far hired 16 individuals with special needs, and has set a target of 50 by 2018, officials said.
