ABU DHABI // About 1,500 people have been fined for abandoning vehicles in public areas in Mussaffah.
Eighty-six warnings about abandoned vehicles have also been issued as part of a 10-day campaign by Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Municipal officials also inspected barbershops and beauty salons in the area, issuing 10 violations and 62 warnings over health standards.
Forty-seven people were fined for dumping waste in undesignated areas, and two violation tickets were issued over construction and sewerage offences.
The municipality said its campaign was intended to foster a sense of social responsibility in the community to keep streets and public and private facilities clean.
