DUBAI // Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation has delivered 63,000 halal meals to Dubai Charity Association as part of its sustained efforts to help the needy across the world.

The meals have been shipped to underprivileged families in Tajikistan, which has been hit by several natural disasters. The pre-packaged meals, which do not require cooking or refrigeration, have a shelf-life of three years.

The initiative was in line with the mandate of the Salma Humanitarian Relief Programme, launched by the foundation to provide pre-packed halal meals to victims of wars and conflicts.
