ABU DHABI // Twelve judges at Dubai Courts and 14 judges at The Rental Dispute Settlement Centre were sworn-in on Tuesday before Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at Zabeel Palace.
The new judges vowed to uphold justice, respect the law, perform their duties with integrity and devotion, and remain committed to honest practices.
Sheikh Mohammed wished them success in their assignments and in their mission to ensure justice for litigants, reported Wam, the state news agency.
All people are equal, regardless of their nationality, race or countries of origin, said Sheikh Mohammed.
He stressed the importance of establishing the principles of tolerance and settlement between litigants at courts because reconciliation is the best ruling in most cases.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; Dr Amal Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council; Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group; Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed; Mohammed Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Ruler’s Court; Taresh Al Mansouri, Director-General of Dubai Courts; Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director-General of Dubai Land Department, and Khalifa Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai Protocol.
