ABU DHABI // More than 1,200 tonnes of food have been distributed by the Emirates Red Crescent to those suffering in the war in Yemen.
A ship carrying ERC’s humanitarian aid arrived in Aden on Friday, while other ships carrying 4,000 tonnes of petroleum derivatives arrived to help keep hospitals operating.
Earlier in May, the ERC dispatched 850 tonnes of relief material, as well as 650 tonnes of food and 180 tonnes of medical supplies.
The move comes in line with the directives of the President, Sheikh Khalifa, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and orders of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
