A four-year-old Syrian girl plunged to her death from an eighth floor apartment in Sharjah on Wednesday night. The girl fell from the balcony of an apartment in the Al Tawawon area.
The girl was taken to Al Qasimi Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
This is the second incident of a child falling from a high-rise in Sharjah this year. A 3-year-old Pakistani girl fell from her family’s fourth floor Sharjah apartment after managing to unlock the window earlier this year. She received injuries to her spine but survived.
Last year, seven children fell to their deaths, according to figures released by Sharjah Police.
