ABU DHABI // Allah’s favours are uncountable and the smallest good deeds humans do are multiplied by Him, Muslims will be told on Friday.

“Allah legislated many good deeds for worshippers to erase their sins, multiply their rewards and increase their status,” says the sermon.

“Allah wrongeth not even of the weight of an ant; and if there is a good deed, He will double it and will give [the doer] from His presence an immense reward,” says a verse from the Quran.

Such simple deeds include remembering Allah by praising Him, repeating after the adhan, removing waste from people’s path, and so on.

One man entered heaven because he removed a harmful tree branch that was in people’s path, Prophet Mohammed once said.

Another man also saw a thirsty dog and gave him water, so his sins were erased and Allah praised him.

“If anyone gives in charity something equal to a date from his honestly earned money – for nothing ascends to God except good – then God will take it in His Right [Hand] and bring it up for its owner as any one of you brings up a baby horse, until it becomes like a mountain ... nothing ascends to God except good,” says another hadith.
