Parking will be free on New Year’s Day in Abu Dhabi.
The public has been reminded not to park in prohibited areas, not to block other vehicles and to respect residential parking zones.
Bus and ferry services will run on a Friday schedule on New Year’s Day.
Bus 65 and Bus 67 will not reach the New Year Eve celebration areas on Al Maryah Island due to closure on the Al Maryah Street Bridge and Hamdan bin Mohammed Street Bridge from 8pm to 1am on Dec31.
Services will be rerouted Hamouda Bin Ali Al Dhaheri Street Bridge and Al Reem Street Bridge.
No roads will be closed on Al Maryah Island.
The Integrated Transport Centre’s customer service centres will be closed on Wednesday, January 1 and reopen on Thursday, January 2.
In Dubai, the metro will run for 24 hours on December 31 and January 1, although the Red Line will only run from DMCC to Rashidiya during this period.
On January 2, the Red Line will run from 5am until 3.30am, again from DMCC to Rashidiya. The Green Line will begin at 5.30am and run until 3.30am.
