SHARJAH // Residents are being invited to participate in a number of free activities and art workshops this week.
The activities will be held at Heart of Sharjah, a cultural heritage site in the emirate on February 19 in collaboration with the Maraya Art Centre.
The workshops will be run by local groups and will take place from 5pm to10 pm, and will also include performances by artists.
“These artistic workshops are a wonderful opportunity for kids and young adults to express their creative side,” said Yousif Al Mutawa, manager of Heart of Sharjah. “With so many different types of activities being held, there are many options for kids to choose from such as painting puppet heads to learning how to tell a story.”
The event will also include a show by multimedia artist Zahed Sultan, who has performed all over the world.
The event is open to anyone who wishes to make a presentation and is free of charge.
