Five men arrested for ‘breaking into and robbing Sharjah shops’

SHARJAH // Five Pakistani men have been arrested on suspicion of breaking into shops around the emirate.

Criminal investigation officers were able to identify three of the suspects after several reports of robberies were filed.

The men were identified through surveillance camera footage from stores.

According to police, the suspects broke down the main door of the stores and stole cash and other goods.

The gang were arrested in an apartment they shared in Sharjah.

Police officers said the gang resisted arrest and one of them had a knife.

During interrogations the men confessed and have been transferred to Sharjah Prosecution to face trial.
