A fire spread through an under-construction building in Dubai on Saturday afternoon.
Social media images showed flames taking hold of the seven-storey structure off Sheikh Zayed Road, behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the Satwa area.
Firefighters were pictured at the scene from about 1.45pm. Crews put out the flames and continued to dampen the building for much of the afternoon.
The fire took place on a particularly dusty and windy day in Dubai.
An area of land on the Satwa side of Sheikh Zayed Road has been undergoing development in recent months.

French business
France has organised a delegation of leading businesses to travel to Syria. The group was led by French shipping giant CMA CGM, which struck a 30-year contract in May with the Syrian government to develop and run Latakia port. Also present were water and waste management company Suez, defence multinational Thales, and Ellipse Group, which is currently looking into rehabilitating Syrian hospitals.
