DUBAI // A fire erupted on Monday morning in a building under construction on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Workers at the site were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported, a spokesman for Dubai Civil Defence said.
“It was a small blaze. The call came in at 11.33am on Monday morning, and the fire was put out by 12.14pm,” the spokesman said. “The fire erupted in the insulation material on the roof of the building.”
Fire units from Al Barsha and UAE Martyrs stations took part in putting out the blaze, at a site near Times Square.
