ABU DHABI // A fire broke out in a shop selling car accessories in Mussaffah Industrial Zone on Tuesday.
Four Civil Defence teams were dispatched after receiving the call at 6.30am, police said.
An “air support unit” was also on site to feed live images to firefighters on the ground.
Colonel Abdullah Al Zaabi, acting director general of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, said the fire needed an immediate response as its proximity to other stores with flammable goods made it likely to spread.
He said an investigation into the cause is underway and stressed the need for shop owners to adhere to fire safety regulations.
No casualties were reported.
