Fire breaks out at Dubai Palm Jumeirah construction site

DUBAI // A fire broke out at a construction site on The Palm Jumeirah on Tuesday, sending huge plumes of black smoke into the air.

A Dubai Civil Defence spokesman said the fire was put out within minutes and there were no injuries. The operations room received a call about the fire at 11.56am.

It is not yet clear how the fire started.
