ABU DHABI // A tower that caught fire on Airport Road late on Saturday night was brought under control immediately, the Ministry of Interior said on Sunday.
The ministry tweeted at 8.42am on Sunday to confirm that Civil Defence had put out the blaze, which broke out at a restaurant.
On Instagram, the ministry quoted Col Mohammed Al Ansari, director general of Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, as saying that people were removed from the restaurant safely as a precautionary measure. No casualties or injuries were reported.
