New drone footage has shown significant progress on Expo 2020 Dubai, with buildings rising out of the sprawling desert site.
Footage shows Al Wasl Plaza - which sits at the heart of the campus - and the Emirati falcon-inspired structure coming together.
Last week, it was revealed that the first Emirati opera Al Wasl - meaning Connection, in reference to the Emirates' trading hub heritage - will be performed at the Expo.
Earlier this month, the economic impact was estimated to be about Dh120 billion, according to consultancy Ernst & Young.
