Etisalat has completed testing its highest 4G LTE speed offering, it has announced.
The telecoms provider has claimed that the 4G network can reach speeds of up to 300 Mbps and will cover more than 85 per cent of the country's population when rolled out.
However the launch of the 300mbps speed is dependant on the availability of devices that can support the speed, which are expected next year.
Etisalat has deployed about 1,000 base stations for the expansion and is adding new stations in major buildings, commercial centres and airports. It has also confirmed the timely launch of the iPhone 5.
