UAE weather: mostly sunny and warm after several rainy and windy weekends

ABU DHABI // Forecasters have warned of moderate winds that may become fresh on Friday afternoon, causing blowing dust across the emirates.

Wind speeds are expected to reach up to 32kph over the sea and 30kph inland.

The weather will be fair and partly cloudy at times over the east, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.

Temperatures along the coast will range from 17°C to 22°C, 19°C to 21°C in internal areas, and from 15°C to 18°C in the mountains.

The lowest temperature recorded over the country on Friday morning was 16.3°C in Jais Mountain at 4.30am.

Relative humidity is expected to increase at night and early morning.

Humidity will peak between 70 to 90 per cent across coastal regions and in internal areas, and 40 to 60 per cent in the mountains.

Mist may form over some areas, especially in the west.

Seas will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

Similar conditions will persist over the next two days.
