Rainfall accompanied by cloudy weather has been predicted for the weekend with a haze building over scattered areas. While the temperature would remain hot during the day, it would turn mild by night, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology. Rainfall continued in the northern and eastern parts of the country late on Wednesday with the NCMS posting photographs of moderate and light rainfall in districts such as Malagit and Um Gafa in Al Ain. Earlier on Wednesday several parts of the north were hit by heavy rain with water accumulating in the wadis. The centre predicted that clouds would form over eastern areas with rainfall likely in the afternoon over the weekend. Fog and mist formation were likely in the western areas on Saturday with light to moderate winds would blow dust over some areas, the centre said. Humidity will increase at night and during the morning over the coastal areas with the sea moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. The lowest temperature recorded in the country was 22°C Jebel Jais on Wednesday and the highest temperature was 45.1°C in Madinat Zayed.
