The UAE will likely see dust storms on Friday as light to moderate winds take hold.

The National Centre of Meteorology forecasts a sunny Friday, with some clouds appearing over the east of the country by afternoon.

Top temperatures could reach 44°C in Dubai and 45°C in Abu Dhabi on Friday, the weather bureau said.

Humidity will increase during the night and early on Saturday.

In some parts of the country, particularly in coastal regions, humidity levels are expected to hit as high as 90 per cent, the weather bureau said.

Conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
