UAE weather: Coastal areas and islands to reach mid-40s

Temperatures along the UAE's coastal areas could hit 43°C on Wednesday, while inland might reach as high as 46°C and the mountains could be 36°C.

In Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the temperature could reach 44°C.

Along the coast and islands wind speeds will be 18-28kph, and may reach 38kph at times.

Humidity along the coast is forecast to reach 80 per cent while in the interior it could be 60 per cent.

The National Centre of Meteorology said that Wednesday would be fair and partly cloudy, with dust at times over some areas.

There will be light to moderate winds, freshening at times in the daytime, and causing dust to blow.

Conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.

Humidity will increase overnight and into Thursday morning.
