ABU DHABI // The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has said that storm Huda, that hit the Levant, will have no effect on the UAE.
It pointed out that the recent decrease in temperature in across the UAE came about as a result of a low pressure area.
The centre said the country is prone to weekly low atmospheric depressions at this time each year.
The UAE was affected by a “deep low pressure area” in the eastern Mediterranean. It usually diverts to the east while crossing the northern Gulf area.
It has caused north-westerly winds and low, medium clouds which were responsible for the light rainfall on Monday morning in the north of the country and nearby islands.
