SHARJAH // A massive fire engulfed a petroleum warehouse in an industrial area of Sharjah in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Sharjah Civil Defence said the fire broke out at 5am on Tuesday in a warehouse in the Al Sajaa industrial area.
The blaze completely destroyed the contents of the building, according to deputy Civil Defence director, colonel Majed Al Suwaidi.
Teams from Al Dhaid, Al Sajaa, Muweilh, Samnan, with additional support from the Dubai Civil Defence, tackled the blaze.
According to the director, there were no casualties.
After the fire was put out at 7.20am, crews cooled the site before forensics teams arrived to investigate the cause.
