ABU DHABI // Weather forecasters warned of poor visibility on Monday due to blowing dust.

There is also a high chance of rain across the country - especially in the northern emirates.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said Monday morning will be partly cloudy with a chance of rain. Coupled with blowing dust in many parts of the country, visibility on the roads may be reduced.

Wind will be moderate to fresh, and strong over the sea.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly cloudy with fresh to strong north-westerly winds causing more blowing dust and an increased chance of fog.

The temperature will drop and will average between 15-22°C in coastal areas and between 10-25°C in internal areas.

Forecasters also warned that conditions in the Arabian Gulf will become rough during the coming few days but will calm down late at night, while conditions will be moderate to rough on the Oman Sea with humidity increasing during the night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas.

Meanwhile, Dubai Civil Defence has warned of the effect of Snowstorm Huda on the country, with temperatures expected to drop seven degrees Celsius, with dusty wind and low visibility.

It advised people to stay away from aesthetic objects on the beach, as well as lampposts and trees that might fall due to strong wind.

The DCD also issued warnings to stay away from valleys, exercise vigilance when out, stay home and avoid going to the beach during unstable weather conditions.

Brigadier Ahmed Al Sayegh, assistant director of DCD, said that plans were already in place and that the DCD was prepared to respond to emergencies in coordination with NCMS.
