A man celebrating the birth of his child set off fireworks in Dubai, damaging homes in a residential area.
The man, who appeared in a video circulating on social media performing the stunt, has been referred to authorities for further legal action, said Dubai Police.
Police said the man was arrested for “dangerously setting off fireworks in a residential area and causing minor damage to properties”.
“Dubai Police warns the public against the use of fireworks as this could cause severe burns and even permanent or temporary disability as well as fires and damage to properties,” it said.
The location was not revealed.
