SHARJAH // Light rain showers hit parts of Dubai and the Northern Emirates on Saturday.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said rain fell in Dubai, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain and Ras Al Khaimah, with high winds reported in other areas of the country, including the capital.
Unstable weather conditions are expected to continue on Sunday, with partly cloudy skies, haze at times and occasional rainfall around coastal areas.
Moderate to fresh winds are expected, becoming strong at times over sea and exposed areas, which may lead to blowing dust and poor visibility.
Temperatures are set to increase on Sunday over most areas, forecasters said, while waters will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
