Earthquake felt in Dibba

Weather forecasters said the quake measured 2.6 on the Richter scale and there were no reports of injuries or damage.

FUJAIRAH // An earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale was reported in Dibba-Al Fujairah, the UAE’s weather forecasting authority has said.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on its Twitter account that the weak quake was felt at 4.46am on Thursday morning.

Later, Dubai Municipality’s Muhammad Mashroom, director of the survey department, said that no tremors had been felt after the quake.

He added that the quake caused no damage and there were no casualties.
