FUJAIRAH // An earthquake measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale was reported in Dibba-Al Fujairah, the UAE’s weather forecasting authority has said.
The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said on its Twitter account that the weak quake was felt at 4.46am on Thursday morning.
Later, Dubai Municipality’s Muhammad Mashroom, director of the survey department, said that no tremors had been felt after the quake.
He added that the quake caused no damage and there were no casualties.

Sharrie Williams

Anita Williams
Dubai-based singer Anita Williams will open the night with a set of covers and swing, jazz and blues standards that made her an in-demand singer across the emirate. The Irish singer has been performing in Dubai since 2008 at venues such as MusicHall and Voda Bar. Her Jazz Garden appearance is career highlight as she will use the event to perform the original song Big Blue Eyes, the single from her debut solo album, due for release soon.
