The Environment Agency Abu Dhabi said it has received 250 reports of environmental issues since 2013, seven of which were received last month, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National.

The director of the emergency management department, Dr Hamid Al Kendi, said EAD is developing plans to address potential environmental risks at its emergency operations centre including developing plans and training programmes for environmental emergencies such as mass fish mortality and red tide.
