Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of Emirates Red Crescent, has ordered the provision of urgent humanitarian assistance to the victims of the floods which hit Indian Kashmir recently.
He ordered the implementation of a humanitarian programme to meet the basic needs and improve lives of people affected by the floods, reported Wam, the state news agency.
Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, secretary general of the ERC, said that the ERC would work to ensure delivery of humanitarian aid to the victims from local markets.
