Food aid was distributed to cleaners in the Tarim district of Hadramaut Governorate in Yemen on Saturday.
Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) said the food assistance was handed out to help the deteriorating humanitarian situation there.
Abdulaziz Al Jaberi, representative of the ERC team, stressed the keenness of the ERC to reduce the suffering of the poor and the needy due to malnutrition.

He said the aid was part of a series of humanitarian campaigns organised by ERC for the people of Hadramaut Governorate in response to the calls of the people in the various districts.
The cleaners hailed the sustained rescue operations of the UAE to support the Yemeni people.
Last week, food assistance was distributed to needy families and people with special needs in Al Soum.
This month, the organisation signed an agreement for a project to supply pumps and pipes to connect two artesian wells to the main water well in Al Odaiba in Ghayl Ba Wazir in Hadramaut to collect water for use in local services and production.
