DUBAI // Emirates is today operating to schedule to Australia and New Zealand, just 24-hours after they were forced to cancel some flights due to an ash cloud caused by the eruption of a volcano in Chile.
The Dubai-based carrier this morning said all flights between the two countries were back to normal.

“All flights to Australia and New Zealand are currently operating as per schedule,” said a statement on the airline’s website.
“Emirates will continue to monitor the ash cloud caused by Mount Cordon Caulle in Chile closely, and is currently liaising with the relevant authorities regarding its movement.”
Yesterday the threat of volcanic ash clogging aircraft engines forced the carrier to scrap two flights between Sydney and Christchurch.
Etihad, which has not had any flights affected by the volcanic ash, said all its flights to destinations in Australia were also on schedule.
