This Ramadan, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment has delivered 4,000 food packages to families across Egypt.
The packs were delivered to areas that are hard to reach, the state news agency Wam reported.
The charity also launched its 1,000 Family Project initiative in Sheikh Makrum Village, Sohag.
The initiative will support needy families through the establishment of small private businesses that will help to meet their basic needs. In 2013, Egypt was the largest recipient of UAE aid.
