FUJAIRAH // The back-to-school rush has been a little less hectic for parents this year with lessons learnt after last year’s uniform shortage.
There was no lack of stock and sizes for the standard school uniforms required by the Ministry of Education for boys and girls this year.
The outfits were available for collection at Al Massa School in Dibba, Ibn Al Nafees School in Fujairah and Merbeh Sports club in Merbeh.
“The place is much more organised than last year,” said Amna Mohammed, a mother of two.
“All the uniforms are in order and arranged according to the sizes and placed on shelves, much better than last year where you had to dig in a box to find what you were looking for,” said the 29-year-old Emirati.
Parents were also happier with the quality of the clothes, -available for collection until September 30.
“I bought two more uniforms for my 11-year-old daughter in the middle of last year,” said Khawla Al Yamahi, a 32-year-old Emirati mother-of-three.
“The uniform was shrinking with each wash, but it looks like they have changed it as it’s smoother and better quality than it used to be.”
