DUBAI // Some of the country’s best teachers, principals and school counsellors were honoured on Saturday night at the second annual Emax Amazing Teacher Awards.
The initiative encourages students and parents across the country to nominate a principal, teacher or counsellor who has made a difference in their lives.
More than 3,500 nominations were received, said Big Idea, the organisers and Dubai-based group that hosts events to promote student innovation through games and competitions.
The 125 winners were honoured at the event, held at Gems Winchester School in Dubai. The award ceremony is a tribute to teachers and celebrates the nobility of the profession, said Reena Banerjee, founder of Big Idea.
