Ramadan hours for public schools in Dubai and the Northern Emirates have been announced by the Ministry of Education.
Boys’ schools will operate from 8am until 1.15pm, and girls’ schools will be in session from 9am until 2.15pm.
Daily morning assembly will be cancelled during the holy month, but the first five minutes of the first period will be dedicated to the national anthem.
In Abu Dhabi, where public schools are governed by the Abu Dhabi Education Council, boys’ schools will operate between 8.15am and 1.10pm, while classes in girls’ schools will take place from 9am until 1.55pm.

Real estate tokenisation project
Dubai launched the pilot phase of its real estate tokenisation project last month.
The initiative focuses on converting real estate assets into digital tokens recorded on blockchain technology and helps in streamlining the process of buying, selling and investing, the Dubai Land Department said.
Dubai’s real estate tokenisation market is projected to reach Dh60 billion ($16.33 billion) by 2033, representing 7 per cent of the emirate’s total property transactions, according to the DLD.
