DUBAI // The Ministry of Education is forming quality control teams to monitor canteens in private schools.
The teams, which will be formed by ministry and district specialists, will analyse the quality of the food provided to students, its storage, distribution, prices and ensure that the items comply with the food guide established by the ministry.
The guide strictly bans high-calorie foods and drinks with low nutritional value.
Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, MoE undersecretary and assistant to the private education sector, said the move is part of the ministry’s mission to improve educational services in private schools.
